Beverly Hills, CA (April 11, 2012) – Jon Amiel (Entrapment/Copycat) is set to direct ‘The Poisoners’, a dark comedy about women left behind in a small English farming town during World War 1 and their scandalous relations with the German prisoners-of-war.‘The Poisoners,’ written by Paul Billing, will star Emily Watson (War Horse), Anna Friel (Limitless), and Lena Headley (300).
The project will be produced by Jeanna Polley and her London-based production company The Producers. The production is scheduled to begin filming in Ireland and at MMC Studios in Cologne, Germany in late summer of this year.
Jon Amiel, repped by Artist International management’s Dave Brown and Gersh Agency, most recently directed 2008’s Creation.
