LOS ANGELES, CA – November 21, 2011- Artist International client Jennifer Derwingson’s ADVENTURE QUEST pitch has been sold to the Disney Channel as an original TV movie. Ashley Tisdale and Jessica Rhoades are attached to Executive Produce. Through their Blondie Girl Productions, this team has several other movies and series projects in development at the Disney Channel.
Rhoades Executive Produced THE SUITE LIFE MOVIE and DEN BROTHER for Disney. Tisdale has a longtime relationship with Disney via the HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL, SUITE LIFE, and PHINEAS AND FERB franchises.
Derwingson is a recent graduate of the DISNEY/ABC writing fellowship. Last year she wrote the thriller AND SOON THE DARKNESS for Abandon Films, Canal Plus and Anchor Bay staring Amber Heard, Odette Yustman and Karl Urban. Derwingson also adapted Richard Bach’s best-seller ILLUSIONS for Digital Domain. The project is currently at Warner Brothers with Zach Snyder attached to direct. Derwingson got her start by selling her spec script YELLOW WOOD to (the late) Stephen Canell and Spyglass.
Jennifer Derwingson is repped by the Artist International team of Dave Brown, Matt Horwitz and Zadoc Angell and Paradigm Agency. Horwitz packaged the deal.
