Mr. Cherney’s background includes the R&B scene in Chicago, where he began as an apprentice engineer in 1976. In the last 26 years, Mr. Cherney has distinguished himself as one of the most sought after and respected engineers and producers in the music business. His R&B roots served as a solid foundation for his later work with such rock and pop artists as the Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, The B-52’S, Roy Orbison, Bonnie Raitt, Keb Mo, Billy Joel, Jan Arden, Bob Seger, Steely Dan, the Goo Goo Dolls and Hootie and the Blowfish. Mr. Cherney is also one of the most reputable 5.1 Surround Sound mixers in the world, working recently with artists Leon Russell and Sonia Dada.
