(December, 2005) -- Hollywood Studios International (OTC: HYWS) has announced the company's expansion to Dubai through the current structuring of a strategic joint venture in the region. The Company’s management division, Artist International, will represent writers, directors, actors, and models in this booming entertainment metropolis, which will soon become the Hollywood of the East.
The announcement was made by CEO Sir Steven Saxton after attending the 2nd annual Dubai Film Festival. During the festival, Sir Steven Saxton visited the Royal Palace of Dubai for a meeting with His Highness Sheikh Saeed Bin Maktaum Bin Rashid Bin Saeed, son of His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai.
Dubai is currently the fastest growing city in the world, with $50 Billion under construction, including 300 hotels, 84 towers, and what will be the tallest tower in the world. The city is also home to Burj Al Arab, the world’s most luxurious hotel, and is currently developing, 'The Palm, Jumeirah,' a palm tree shaped island billed as the 'Eighth Wonder of the World.'

The city has a put a strong focus on the growth of its entertainment industry through completion of Dubai Media City and the current construction of Dubai Studio City.
