Beverly Hills, CA (December 13, 2011) – Hollywood Studios International has jumped on board to develop “Hunter’s Moon” for the big screen.
Scripted by Artist International’s Virgil Goya and based on the comic book by Kurt Busiek (Superman, Avengers) “Hunter’s Moon” released by the Humanoids Comic Book Company, Hollywood Studios International will team with Humanoids’ Fabrice Giger, Clubdeal Films’ Pierre Spengler, and Hicham Benkirane of Vigilante Entertainment to produce the high-concept supernatural action-thriller.
Hollywood Studios International’s Steven Saxton will Produce with Paul Schiff, Tai Duncan, Artist International’s Dave Brown and Benkirane with Giger and Spengler tapped as Executive Producers. HSI Films President Eric Christenson will handle worldwide sales for the film.
In Hunter’s Moon, a wealthy international entrepreneur is captured by a dying and disfigured Russian businessman who has learned the nature of his well kept secret – he’s been immortal since a savage attack while hunting in Romania in the early 1800’s. During full moons he undergoes a brutal transformation into a savage beast, with no control over his vicious and deadly rampages. Having become a billionaire industrialist over the years, he has adopted a monthly schedule of flying around the world in his private jet in order to stay ahead of full moons so that he doesn’t transform into the beast. Having captured him and kept him stationary, The Russian is waiting for the next full moon to unleash him on his enemies in Moscow, while also determining the scientific nature of the immortality so that he can save his own life.
HSI Films’ Eric Christenson stated, “It is very rare to find such a fantastic high-concept story that is so commercial and has such a natural franchise potential. We look forward to announcing our director and cast soon, to move this into production.”
