HSI Films Inks Deal to Rep Dane Cook Drama, Answers to Nothing

LOS ANGELES, CA – October 21st, 2011 – Film Will Have World Premiere Friday, October 21 at 15th Annual Hollywood Film Festival

Hollywood Studios International’s foreign sales division, HSI Films, has inked a deal to represent ANSWERS TO NOTHING, starring Dane Cook and Elizabeth Mitchell. The film will have its world premiere at the 15th Annual Hollywood Film Festival this Friday at 9pm at the Arclight theatre. “ANSWERS TO NOTHING” is a film by Matthew Leutwyler and a gritty drama of interweaving stories set in Los Angeles against the backdrop of a child kidnapping case. It stars Dane Cook, Barbara Hershey, Julie Benz, Elizabeth Mitchell, Zach Gilford, Kali Hawk, Miranda Bailey, and Erik Palladino.

Cook and Mitchell play a couple who want to have a child, but it’s revealed that he’s having an affair. All the characters seem unhappy with their lives, with Benz’s detective being the straight woman of the film.

Directed by Matthew Leutwyler, the upcoming film marks Cook’s substantial ongoing (Mr. Brooks)transition into dramatic features, having starred in previous comedies like Good Luck Chuck, Employee of the Month and a supporting role in Dan in Real Life.
Roadside Attractions will be releasing the film theatrically on December 2nd.
The 15th Annual Hollywood Film Festival and Hollywood Film Awards, presented by Starz Entertainment. The festival’s mandate is to bridge the gap between emerging independent filmmakers and established Hollywood, and includes features, documentaries and shorts.
