HSI FIlms' The Brooklyn Brothers Beat the Best Features at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival

Beverly Hills, CA (January 28, 2012) – Hollywood Studios International’s THE BROOKLYN BROTHERS BEAT THE BEST will be among the critically acclaimed films being screened at this year’s Santa Barbara International Film Festival. The Santa Barbara International Film Festival is best known for its knack of picking Oscar winners and HSI is excited about being a part of this cinematic celebration.

Hollywood Studios International CEO, Steven Saxton, who is also an Executive Producer of the film, stated, “This is a great film in the vein of Garden State that young audiences will especially respond to. We are thrilled to be handling international distribution of the film and are excited about bringing this to an international audience.”

The film is written and directed by Ryan O’Nan and stars Ryan O’Nan, Michael Weston and Arielle Kebbel with an ensemble cast including Melissa Leo, Andrew McCarthy, Christopher McDonald, Jason Ritter and Wilmer Valderrama. The film is produced by Jason Michael Berman and Kwesi Collisson.

With only an acoustic guitar, a broken heart, and an arsenal of children’s instruments, dejected singer-songwriter, Alex (O’Nan) and self-appointed music revolutionary Jim (Weston), set off on a dubious tour that may be their last shot at achieving their childhood dreams.
