Prior to founding Artist International with Steven Saxton, he collaborated with 150+ writers on over 300 scripts as Director of Development for The John Fogel Entertainment Group. During his tenure, many of these projects were sold to major studios including Dreamworks, Revolution Studios, MGM, and Paramount. As a member of the Development and Acquisitions team at USA Films, Newton distinguished himself by recommending film and script acquisitions. During his tenure, USA Films released Traffic and Gosford Park. As West Coast Director of Pure Fusion Media, a branding and communications consultancy, he oversaw over twenty national and regional accounts. Mr. Newton is a graduate of University of Southern California’s prestigious Cinema Production program. Currently, Mr. Newton is a Co-Producer of Focus Features’ The Kids Are All Right, staring Annette Bening, Julianne Moore, Mark Ruffalo, Mia Wasikowska, and Josh Hutcherson.
