Beverly Hills, CA (December 6, 2011) – Models International’s (mi) Spotlight Model of the week – Emily Balanzar – Women’s Board.
Emily Balanzar is a 5’10” Southern California beauty. An LBC (Long Beach, California) girl all the way, Emily is a swimming and basketball enthusiast who adores her family.
With two brothers and one sister, Emily is the second daughter of a close-knit family. While attending High School in Long Beach, Emily began exploring her modeling aspirations at the Barbizon modeling academy when she was tapped to take part in the IMTA modeling competition in Hollywood.
An mi talent scout spotted Emily and she was signed on the spot. Still just 17, Emily had an opportunity to move to New York for Epic models. Although the thought of leaving her family left the aspiring model in a professional dilemma, two days after High School graduation, she made the courageous jump to the Big Apple.
Her two year East coast stint was successful, but deep in her heart, Emily missed her family. She moved back to the West Coast and upon her return, She quickly re-signed with mi and it was back to business as usual the LBC and Los Angeles.
In addition to her hectic modeling schedule, Emily’s love of movies, all kinds of music and dancing keeps her busy.
Her recent mi photo shoot for Levis Jeans which was featured on the the television show EXTRA is one of Emily’s favorite photo shoots, of late. We’ll be seeing much more of this talented mi model.
