LOS ANGELES, CA – November 4th, 2011 – Models International’s (MI) Spotlight Model of the week – Maya Macpherson – New Faces.
Standing at 5’11”, Maya Macpherson’s blue eyes, blonde hair and stunning good looks are only a small part of her charm. Born in Sweden, her mother’s Swedish background and father’s US roots brought the family together in Pacific Palisades, California when Maya was only in the first grade.
Maya attended the all-girl “Marymount” Catholic school where she began an amazing quest as a stand-out volleyball player.
She was named to the Jr. Olympics volleyball team and soon thereafter attended Cal State Fullerton on scholarship as a highly prized student-athelete.
A shoulder injury was the sport of volleyball’s loss… but the modeling industry’s gain as Models International recently signed the blonde beauty to the agency’s roster.
With a love for arts & crafts, sewing, working out and… shopping, Maya’s still a volleyball fanatic. She can frequently be seen on Southern California beaches playing her favorite game — with all of her best friends.
