Mr. Schiff has produced over 30 movies during his prolific feature film career. Mr. Schiff recently signed a first-look production deal with HSI Films to bring his expertise and several projects into the company’s growing portfolio of films, including several he developed in recent years through his production company, Paul Schiff Productions. Among them is the upcoming crime-thriller, “Masterwork,” directed by Jon Amiel.
Mr. Schiff has produced a wide range of movies under studio deals at Disney, Sony and Fox. Those include, “Walking Tall,” “Mona Lisa Smile, starring Julia Roberts,” “Young Guns,” “Maid in Manhattan, starring Jennifer Lopez,” “My Cousin Vinny,” “The Vanishing,” “PCU,” He has also been drawn to quality independent films producing Wes Anderson’s critically acclaimed film, “Rushmore,” “Green Street Hooligans,” “The Air I Breathe,” “Spin,” “Numb,” and the 2010 Michael Douglas starrer, “Solitary Man.” He started his career as a documentary cameraman in New York City and then spent time as a staff director at MTV during that network’s groundbreaking early days in the 1980’s before launching his film-producing career.
