Beverly Hills, CA (May 2, 2012) – The Zenescope Entertainment comic, “The Library,” is headed for the big screen with Brett Ratner’s Rat Entertainment partnering with Artist International and Zenescope. “The Library,” an original idea by Zenescope’s Joe Brusha from Zenescope’s Grimm series, follows the adventures of a young girl who along with her family unlocks a portal in a historic and forgotten library, bringing heroes, villains, and creatures from storied books into our world while also transporting our family of heroes to their time periods.
Brett Ratner is producing with Rat Entertainment’s John Cheng, Zenscopes’s Brusha and Tedesco, and Artist International’s Dave Brown to executive produce.
Founded in 2005 by Philadelphia natives Joe Brusha and Ralph Tedesco, Zenescope has very quickly become one of the top 10 comic book and graphic novel publishers in the world. Some of Zenescope’s most popular titles include GRIMM FAIRY TALES, one of the longest running independent comic books on the market today; SE7EN, the critically acclaimed graphic novel based on the 1995 film of the same name; RETURN TO WONDERLAND, SALEM’S DAUGHTER, BEYOND WONDERLAND and STRAW MEN. Zenescope Entertainment is represented by Artist International.
