January 29, 2007 (Los Angeles, CA) – Hollywood Studios International CEO Steven Saxton announced today that Writer/Director/Producer Carl Goldstein has signed with Artist International Management. Goldstein has been involved in over 30 feature films, hundreds of commercials and has directed 60 episodes of television. He has also produced, written and directed several feature films.
“A talent like Carl’s is so rare, not to mention his track record and depth of experience. We’re very excited to be representing him,” said Artist International Managing Director Joel Newton.
Goldstein will be managed by Stan Spry, Artist International’s Vice President of Management.
Carl Goldstein choreographed the battle sequences in “Last of the Mohicans” for director Michael Mann and was responsible for many of the action sequences for John McTiernan’s “Die Hard With A Vengeance.” He has worked with such luminary filmmakers as Brian DePalma, Ivan Reitman, Milos Forman, Sean Penn, Al Pacino, Frank Oz, Sam Raimi, Michael Cimino, Michael O’Herlihy and Keenan Ivory Wayans. He is a graduate of Le Theatre Dome Theater School, UCLA’s Master Class in directing as well Judith Weston’s Meisner technique for Actors and Directors.
Goldstein won the 2006 Promax Award for best PSA for CASA and CBS CARES. He resides in Los Angeles with his wife and three children.
Most recently, he produced “The Pre-Nup” along with Eric Gold and starring Marcy Kaplan, Bruce Altman, Larry Miller, and Alex Boorstein, and directed by Marty Weiss. Scheduled festival screenings include the Santa Barbara Film Festival and the Aspen Comedy Festival.
